Saundra J. Golden is an abuse survivor, speaker, consultant and author of Make It Stop! A Young Woman’s Guide to Overcome or Prevent Dating Abuse. She wrote her book as a way to help mothers initiate the difficult conversation of dating and the possible abuse that could occur, helping them to learn the red flags and warning signs. Saundra doesn’t want teens or young women to suffer in silence as she did, because she didn’t feel she could talk to her mother due to what they would think of her. She now speaks to teens and mothers re: these issues.
